Dubai Paramedics To Get Lotus Evora Sports Car As Their Response Vehicle

It’s 2014 Gitex Technology Week in Dubai and among the clever new innovations is a Lotus Evora Paramedic car which has been equipped with all manner of useful kit.

We expect the fifty paramedics in Dubai were pretty keen to get in on a similar kind of deal that the country’s police have – that being fast and desirable work vehicles. Subsequently this Lotus Evora response vehicle has been designed for them.

Given its 172mph top speed, this vehicle is best suited to getting to an emergency quickly and then administrating first aid prior to the ambulance’s arrival.

The customised Lotus Evora is equipped with a suction unit, responder bag, cardiac defibrillators, oxygen bags and foam splints for fractures. It also features a mobile data terminal so patient data can be taken and sent straight to the hospital ready for the arrival of the patient.

Special training will be given to all paramedics using the sports car and before they can use it for work the Lotus Evora response vehicle will be displayed at key tourism hot spots such as Burj Khalifa and Jumeirah Beach.

Hot on the heels of this Lotus Evora response vehicle will be some Ford Mustangs and a Chevrolet Corvette C7 – Let’s hope paramedics remember they are on their way to an emergency and don’t get too carried away honing about town!
